Description

Make sure to carefully read the Advantage II Dog Products User Guide before purchasing this product and applying it to your pet.

What is Advantage® II for Dogs?
A monthly topical flea treatment that works through contact so fleas don’t have to bite to die.
•Controls fleas (including all life stages) and lice and helps to protect against Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD)
•Remains effective after bathing and swimming*
•Available in four different sizes for puppies and dogs
•Convenient, easy-to-apply monthly flea preventative.
• Kills 98% - 100% of fleas on a pet within 12 hours of the first application and kills reinfesting fleas within 8 hours.
• Bathing should be limited to once per treatment period with non-medicated dog shampoo.

How does it work?
Advantage® II is not absorbed internally when applied to the skin. It spreads in a thin layer and remains locked in the oil of the pet’s skin. Contact by the parasite with the treated hair coat and skin results in paralysis and death of fleas and lice.
Advantage® II not only kills adult fleas through contact, the product also contains the insect growth regulator pyriproxyfen which is distributed into the home on fur and skin shed by the dog and prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing into the next stage of the flea life cycle, effectively killing them, too!

Guides & Resources

Dogs >=7 weeks of age weighing >25 kg b.w.: Entire 4 mL tube evenly to six or eight spots on top of back from shoulder to base of tail. Retreatment at monthly intervals is required if re-infestation is continuous or if flea control is desired. If re-treatment becomes necessary earlier than 4 weeks, do not re-treat more than q7d.

Why choose Advantage® II?
Advantage® II is applied to your pet topically and kills through contact meaning fleas don’t have to bite your pet to die. Oral flea medications require fleas to bite before they are killed.

How often should I use Advantage® II?
Advantage® II should be applied monthly and may be used year-round for flea prevention.

My pet is strictly indoors. Should I still use Advantage® ll?
Yes. Fleas can be brought into the home by you or other pets without you even realizing it. Immature flea stages can remain dormant until conditions are appropriate to infest pets as adults. That’s why it is important to also protect indoor pets.

I only see fleas on one of my pets. ls it sufficient to just treat the infested pet?
No. All cats or dogs in the home should be treated, since the infested pet is likely to pass on fleas to other pets in the same environment.

At what age can I start using Advantage® II on my cat or dog?
Advantage® II is for use on dogs and puppies 7 weeks of age and older, or cats and kittens 8 weeks of age and older.

Important facts about lice:
Advantage® II also kills lice and prevents further infestations on dogs.
One of the most common signs of lice infestation is excessive scratching.
If you suspect that your dog has lice, make sure to consult your veterinarian.
