At Mondou, we love going on adventures, especially when they give us the chance to share real, human, and inspiring stories. That’s why we’re launching our brand-new web series “Sur les traces de…” , a journey across Quebec to meet our employees and their loyal companions. Each episode takes you along roads, trails, and waterfronts to discover destinations that are 100% dog-friendly. You’ll experience their bond, their love for nature, and unforgettable moments that make you want to plan your next getaway.
A unique stay to share with your dog
For this new episode of our web series, we follow Kathy and her loyal companion Maya, a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog mixed with Golden Retriever, on a unique adventure at Aloberge, a riverside oasis where dogs are welcome in every activity. Between forest adventures, refreshing swims and a sailboat ride, this getaway perfectly showcases the special bond that unites humans and animals.
Aloberge: A floating little paradise
Located along the river, Aloberge offers a truly unique lodging experience: charming floating glamping units, each equipped with a private barbecue, a terrace for wildlife watching, and even a firepit at the tip of the point.
Activities are as varied as they are relaxing: fishing, swimming, sailing with a towable tube, paddle boards, or pedal tandem kayaks. There’s even a small wooded trail, perfect for a walk with your dog. It’s a place where nature and comfort come together, ideal for making the most of every moment with your faithful companion.

Kathy and Maya’s day
Before setting off on their adventure, Kathy stopped by Mondou Saint-Constant to stock up on essentials: food, practical accessories, and a few tasty treats for the road. On the way, she visited Ail Lys, a unique floral project in Quebec. Visitors can enjoy flower picking, find specialty plants to build their own garden, and soak in the rustic, inspiring setting. Founded in tribute to Alice, the owner’s daughter, Ail Lys combines passion, environmental care, and a warm family spirit.
Once they arrived at Aloberge, it was time for relaxation and connection. Between a refreshing swim and a sailing trip, Maya safely outfitted with her life jacket enjoyed every single moment: ears in the wind, nose curious, eyes sparkling with wonder.
Tips for your dog’s first sailing trip
- Always use a properly fitted life jacket for safety.
- Let your dog explore the boat while it’s docked, to help them feel at ease.
- Bring fresh water and a small blanket for comfort.
- Pack a few treats to reward calm behavior.
- Plan breaks on land if the outing is long.
An experience to live and relive
This adventure at Aloberge shows once again that our dogs are true partners in our getaways. Whether on the water, in a flower field, or around a campfire at sunset, Kathy and Maya remind us that every shared moment becomes a precious memory.
