Every donation is the beginning of a beautiful adoption story
In shelters across Quebec, thousands of animals patiently await their chance to find a new family. Behind each one lies a story of abandonment, but also an immense desire to love.
Since 2018, through the Mondou Mondon for the shelters campaign, Mondou, with the support of its entire community, has been turning these hopes into new beginnings by raising essential funds to support shelters across the province.
This year again, from May 8 to July 6, 2025, Mondou proudly launches the 8ᵗʰ edition of this major solidarity campaign, with the goal of raising $400,000 in support of nearly 40 partner shelters.
More than a campaign, a mission
Mondou Mondon for the shelters is a movement dedicated to providing essential and lasting support to shelters across Quebec. Donations help fund veterinary care, support spay and neuter programs, modernize aging infrastructures, and facilitate responsible adoptions.
Because on the ground, the challenges are many:
- Growing animal overpopulation
- Lack of financial resources to meet essential needs
- Shortage of staff in many shelters
- Outdated facilities in need of urgent upgrades
In the face of these realities, every donation has an immediate impact on the daily lives of shelter animals and ultimately, on their futures.
An inspiring spokes-shelter: Proanima
For the 2025 edition, Mondou is proud to highlight Proanima, a shelter recognized for its outstanding commitment to animal welfare and its significant contribution to the community. As this year's spokes-shelter, Proanima embodies hope and resilience, reminding us that behind every adoption lies a beautiful love story waiting to unfold.
How to contribute
Your participation can make all the difference. Throughout the campaign, there are many ways to support shelters: by donating your Cuddle points, by purchasing from a selection of promotional products available in-store and online, and especially by discovering our special 2025 feature: the colouring book Histoires d’adoption.
Designed for both kids and adults, this book invites you to dive into real-life adoption stories, inspired by the journeys of animals from the Proanima shelter who have found their forever homes. In addition to offering a creative and heartwarming activity, each purchase helps donate $5 to the cause, making a real difference for animals still waiting for their chance at a new beginning.
