Once again this year, the magic of the holiday season lights up Quebec's Christmas markets, and some even welcome your furry friends! These sparkling little villages, filled with artisan creations and wonder, offer a unique opportunity to share a moment with family and have your companion by your side. To fully enjoy this enchanting outing, here are a few practical tips:
- Make sure your dog stays on a leash at all times to ensure their comfort and safety. Most markets allow dogs only in outdoor areas, so check the specific rules at each location for a smooth visit.
- Be mindful of your dog’s comfort level: festive music, flashing lights, decorations, and lively characters like Santa and costumed figures can sometimes stress more sensitive dogs.
- Protect your dog from the cold: When visiting the stalls, you’ll be alternating between walking and stopping; keep an eye on their paws to prevent them from freezing. A coat can also be a good idea to keep them warm throughout the visit.
- Bring treats and water to reward your dog and keep them happy.
